More Farming Update Features
Here are some more new features from our Farming Update!
We’ve made several changes to how your camp operates when it’s under attack. In the Jobs menu, you’ll notice a setting for the military draft. When enemies attack, some goblins will be drafted to help defend the camp. They’ll arm themselves with the nearest weapon, improvised or not, and won’t use shields or armor, but they’ll join in the fight to the best of their ability. You can control how many goblins are drafted in the Jobs menu.
Next to the military draft controls, you’ll see similar controls for firefighters. When a fire breaks out, this controls how many goblins will get a task to fight the fire. They’ll also now be a little bit smarter about where to get water to put out the fire, and goblins will ignore fires in the forest-cover. Do remember, though, that goblins need buckets to fight fires! We’ve made storing buckets a higher-priority job to try to make sure that they’re always available when you need them, but having buckets and pre-positioning them intelligently can make all the difference in firefighting.
Another change is that non-combatant goblins will now flee to their housing, if they have any, or to the center of the camp if they don’t.
We’ve also given the sacrifice manager a rework! You now sacrifice special ceremonial items, and goblins will automatically store them in the bonfire and light it at Midsummer. You still have to build the bonfire, of course, and Goblin Camp players will know all about the dangers associated with it. The spirits of the woods and the waters are also now a bit more lenient on the poor goblins: you’ll have to fail multiple sacrifices, by a lot, to make them really angry.
Workshop and storage windows now give more information: storages will tell you how much of their storage capacity is in use.
Workshops will have a list of the items that can be produced there, as well as what they’re working on now and what’s next in the production queue.
Also, structures under construction will now show what items are missing and how much work remains to be done.
We’ve also made ruins a little bit more visible, and they now come with more loot!
Ignored items are now marked with a red icon.
And there’s another new structure: the tall raven statue. It’s like a raven statue, only even more effective at clearing the forest-cover.
That’s not even all of the features in the Farm Update! Remember to check out the full patch notes.
